“I am a dietician/nutritionist in private practice. In my experience I have found that most people want to be in control of what they eat and when they eat. Eating is very basic and difficult to change that is why most diets fail. It is my belief that if someone needs to alter some foods or some eating behaviors, because of a health issue, this is best achieved when: The person understands the reasons why certain foods need to be changed or eliminated if those changes are as subtle as possible in order to maintain already established eating habits.
My practice therefore, allows the client to make healthy choices that are appropriate for his/her condition. Most of my clients are adults and in the past I have counseled people who are either deaf, blind, or those with reading difficulties. But my specialties include nutrition for healthy eating.
I usually develop most of my own educational materials, which gives me the ability to help any client develop an individual eating plan that can be maintained for a lifetime.”
