Eating disorders describe illnesses that may be portrayed by obsessive thoughts and behaviors related to food intake, weight, appearance and/or exercise. As a dietitian for over 19 years, I have helped a wide range of clients from pediatrics to geriatrics. I have specialized in bariatrics (weight loss surgery- sleeve, bypass, lap band) for the last 5 years providing medical clearances and long term follow up to ensure lasting success. I believe in the medicinal value of food and focus my efforts on the inclusion verse the exclusion of foods. Although changing ones eating habits can be challenging, dietary changes should not cause stress or feelings of deprivation. My goal is to help my clients adjust their food choices to achieve their health goals safely.

Melia is a registered dietitian that has dedicated the majority of her dietetic years to supporting individuals in their recovery from disordered eating, working in a multitude of eating disorder centers and children's hospitals. In addition, Melia has expertise in nutrition therapy for various needs including but not limited to pre/post natal nutrition, breastfeeding nutrition/support, pediatric nutrition, weight management, PCOS and women's health.
