Food is a very important part of our lives. We eat every day - not just because we are hungry, but also because we are happy, sad, celebrating an event or accomplishment, mad, frustrated, because "it's time" or because we are just plain bored. Food can be all these things to people, but really it is nourishment for bodies - to fuel for our bodies for the life we want to live. It can certainly be a part of our happy lives, but should not be the main purpose. I work with people to find this balance between sustenance and overindulgence.
I have been a dietitian for over 20 years and have worked in many areas of nutrition and wellness including diabetes, weight management, and eating disorders. I have eaten a vegetarian diet for most of my life and have a passion for helping people transition to a plant based diet.
