Welcome to a A Bowl Full of Nutrition. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in eating disorder treatment, medical nutrition therapy, weight management, and motivational interviewing. I graduated with a BS in Dietetics from Kansas State University and a MS in Dietetics from the University of Rhode Island. I have worked extensively with eating disorder patients in a treatment facility and have experience working with clients who struggle with weight management and diabetes. I also have trained with The Body Positive Institute and am skilled at working with clients on improving body image.

Samantha is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who obtained her bachelors degree in Nutritional Sciences from The Pennsylvania State University. Then she went on to complete her Dietetic Internship with Virginia Tech. Samantha prioritizes her patients health goals first and foremost. She is especially passionate about helping clients with sustainable weight management (weight gain or weight loss). As well as helping clients navigate nutrition with GI issues, skin issues, and diabetes management.

She takes special interest in Prenatal Nutrition, Pediatric Nutrition and Diabetes care. She works closely with Diabetes patients (Pre-diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, Type I and Type 2 Diabetes) and offer individual counseling and personalized meal plan. Diabetes care includes insulin management and close monitoring of blood glucose goals.

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Lactation Counselor, and Certified in Weight Management. As a current partner with TPG Pediatrics and Metropolitan Breastfeeding I am able to care for patient's dietary needs, picky eating, food sensitivities, lactation, and weight management providing both in-person and virtual appointments for all ages.

My approach to care is simple. I listen to my patients/clients and try to meet them where they are. There is no sense in diving in the deep end if you've never even dipped your toe in the water. We all have to start somewhere, big or small, but I prefer small. I prefer building on these small goals, which eventually become successes that we can continue to build on. I believe that to be truly successful, we must create a strong foundation to build on. That way, if our blocks start to tumble, we know we have our foundation to stabilize us. Julia strives to combine evidence based, realistic, and sustainable guidance to help you and your family achieve health related goals. While food allergy treatment does include avoidance, Julia believes that all foods can be apart of a healthy and enjoyable diet even from an early age.
