A little about me! I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2018. After this, I went on to complete my Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition at the same university in 2020. I completed my clinicals in the Chicago area and became a registered dietitian shortly after finishing up school. I have been working as an outpatient clinical dietitian for over two years now. I started out at Lake County Health Department and am currently working at Advocate Medical Group.

Anna Petersen is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist, certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed in the state of Illinois. She graduated with a Master of Science degree in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics and has 10+ years of clinical experience, providing Medical Nutrition Therapy to complex patients in a fast paced acute care setting. Anna’s experience as an inpatient dietitian has provided her with a strong foundation, working with various disease states as well as diverse populations throughout the lifespan.

I’m Bre, the proud founder of NutritionbyBre. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) in the Southern California area of Los Angeles, California. I believe in a comprehensive nutrition approach that is realistic and doable. I can tackle any nutrition need, from medical nutrition therapy to weight loss. Asante is a Board-Certified Registered Dietitian. She completed her clinical internship and masters degree at Rush University Medical Center after graduating from Case Western Reserve University. Asante is an expert in counseling and educating patients who need medical nutrition therapy in either an inpatient or outpatient setting. In sessions with Asante she will empower her patients and instill confidence in his or herself to achieve desired goals.

Felicity is a Board-Certified Registered Dietitian who is licensed in the state of Illinois. She completed multiple dietetic internships before graduating with her master’s in nutrition from University of Illinois at Chicago. As a former Division I athlete, she has valuable experience in sports nutrition. She is passionate about nutrition education and became an RD to help people create the best version of themselves.

Sarah Picklo Halabu is a Registered Dietitian specializing in diabetes care. Sarah works with clients who have Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, and Gestational Diabetes. She has over 20 years of experience and has earned the highest level of diabetes expertise as a Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist with board certification in advanced diabetes management. She is certified in many diabetes technologies including insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitors, and hybrid closed loop systems.

Jennifer is a Registered Dietitian with over 20 years of experience in the field of nutrition. After earning her bachelor’s degree in dietetics from Ohio University, Jennifer completed an accredited dietetic internship and master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. When working with Jennifer, she will support you in accomplishing your health goals in a non-judgmental environment. Jennifer has enjoyed working in various healthcare settings providing medical nutrition therapy to adults with chronic diseases as well as ensuring pregnant women are meeting their nutrition requirements.

Nazia received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. She then went onto complete her Master of Science in Nutrition and Wellness (MSNW) and Masters of Public Health (MPH) alongside her Dietetic Internship at Benedictine University. She then worked for Kaplan University for their Nutrition Department as an adjunct instructor. She has also worked as a clinical dietitian for Good Samaritan Hospital. While at Kaplan Nazia completed her Master of Science in Education in Instructional technology (MS Ed.). Nazia is currently working on her PhD in Health Sciences.

Lane is a Certified Registered Dietitian. He completed his dietetic internship at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial after graduating with a degree in Dietetics from Indiana University. Lane loves creating a safe space for his clients to share and does his best to provide evidence based medical nutrition therapy. He is also a NASM- Certified Personal Trainer, which allows him to combine his passion for nutrition and fitness. In his free time, he enjoys spending time getting creative. Whether it be through photography, drawing, making new recipes, or creating new workouts.

Stacey Simon is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist with a passion for serving the adult and older adult population. She has worked with thousands of clients with a variety of nutrition concerns, including unintentional weight loss, high blood pressure, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, heart health, healthy aging, and general wellbeing. She has a Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nutritional Science from the University of Connecticut. She is board certified as a Specialist in Gerontological Nutrition (CSG), which makes her an expert in Older Adult nutrition.

Elisa Stegman is a Board Certified Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She completed her BS in Dietetics from Iowa State University and her MS in Clinical Nutrition from University of Wisconsin. Elisa is Chicago-based with several years of both pediatric and adult clinical experience at the University of Iowa and Lurie Children's hospitals. She is a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician and is also currently working toward a certificate in Integrative Functional Nutrition. Elisa believes in approaching health from a holistic perspective and the value of using food as medicine.

Michele is a Registered Licensed Dietitian with extensive experience in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. I not only have years of professional experience, but I have years of life experience. I see you as an individual with unique circumstances and needs. I enjoy getting to know each client and working together to reach attainable, sustainable goals. I practice what I teach and I enjoy the reward of a healthy life. I enjoy hiking, biking and yoga as exercise. There is an activity for everyone (walking is a great one!). I also enjoy gardening and cooking (specialty with food hacks!).

Beth has been working for over five years as an inpatient, outpatient and long-term care Licensed Registered Dietitian. The possibilities to manage and prevent chronic disease with improved nutrition inspired Beth to begin a career in dietetics. A food lover at heart, Beth believes food must always taste good, therefore she loves to be creative with recipes to increase nutritional value. She helps guide her clients toward nutritious eating with the goal of nourishing the body to improve energy and quality of life.

Welcome to Nutrition For Autism Recovery! I am so glad you found me! My passion as a dietitian is to lead parents with a child on the autism spectrum on the road to heal or "recover" their child through a functional nutrition approach. Many parents see recovery as a goal. I share this goal; however, this is not always seen, no matter the efforts put forth. Parents generally realize this. Melanie Lewis is an experienced registered dietitian living in Chicago. Her curiosity for food and nutrition began at a young age harvesting and preparing the fresh fruits and vegetables grown right in her own backyard. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at Penn State University. After graduation, she traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana to complete over 1000 hours of supervised practice at Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Her experience has allowed her to provide evidence-based nutrition education to diverse populations with a variety of nutritional needs.
