Welcome to a A Bowl Full of Nutrition. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in eating disorder treatment, medical nutrition therapy, weight management, and motivational interviewing. I graduated with a BS in Dietetics from Kansas State University and a MS in Dietetics from the University of Rhode Island. I have worked extensively with eating disorder patients in a treatment facility and have experience working with clients who struggle with weight management and diabetes. I also have trained with The Body Positive Institute and am skilled at working with clients on improving body image.

At Bodacious Nutrition (Nutrition for Women), Joanna specializes in supporting women 35+ with symptoms of low energy, unwanted weight gain, food stress or disordered eating, and hormonal imbalance. She practices through a non-diet lens and Intuitive Eating framework. She is an expert in women's and metabolic health (PCOS, diabetes, peri-menopause, fertility) as well as primarily plant-based eating. She has a special interest in supporting women through perimenopause as well as supporting women 35+ struggling with chronic dieting or disordered eating. Her approach is holistic. Samantha is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who obtained her bachelors degree in Nutritional Sciences from The Pennsylvania State University. Then she went on to complete her Dietetic Internship with Virginia Tech. Samantha prioritizes her patients health goals first and foremost. She is especially passionate about helping clients with sustainable weight management (weight gain or weight loss). As well as helping clients navigate nutrition with GI issues, skin issues, and diabetes management.

Rebecca is a registered dietitian, board certified sports dietitian and a personal trainer with her Bachelor's degree in dietetics and her graduate degree in exercise and sports science from Iowa State University. She also has a personal training certification from the American College of Sports Medicine. Rebecca works with digestive issues, allergies, weight issues and with several athletes from various training groups - DC tri, Team Z, Team in Training, Pacers, and others. She also works closely with folks with multiple food allergies and has very extensive and personal experience in this area as well as with weight loss.

I focus on helping clients develop habits supporting their individual goals, whether preparing for a race, struggling with gastrointestinal issues, or working on disordered eating behaviors. Recognizing there is no single approach to nutrition or wellness, I meet clients where they are & help identify not only ways to adjust dietary intake but also practical ways in which to do so. I have a background working with a team of medical providers (physicians, psychologists, exercise physiologists) & therefore have a strong commitment to viewing the "whole" individual, & taking that into consideration with any goals or plans we develop.

I am a registered dietitian with a board certification in Sports Nutrition. I presently see clients via a virtual telehealth platform, Healthie. I have over 23 years of experience developing Wellness programs and providing cutting-edge nutrition, fitness and wellness services to a wide variety of individuals and groups. My specialties include health promotion, weight management, sports nutrition, wellness and fitness. I have experience working with vegetarian diets, celiac disease and eating disorders. I graduated from University of Rhode Island and obtained my Master of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from UMASS Amherst.

After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, she continued her education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro securing a Master’s degree in Nutrition Science.
