Welcome to a A Bowl Full of Nutrition. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in eating disorder treatment, medical nutrition therapy, weight management, and motivational interviewing. I graduated with a BS in Dietetics from Kansas State University and a MS in Dietetics from the University of Rhode Island. I have worked extensively with eating disorder patients in a treatment facility and have experience working with clients who struggle with weight management and diabetes. I also have trained with The Body Positive Institute and am skilled at working with clients on improving body image.

A Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist for over 25 years, I work with both adults and children to meet their nutrition goals. I can help you with medical nutrition therapy for including diabetes, pre-diabetes, hypertension, abnormal lipid levels, and weight management. My philosophy is one of balance and moderation and my goal is to help you improved your nutrition and health within your comfort zone and lifestyle constraints. Each person has unique needs and goals. Helping them to achieve them is my priority.

I look forward to assisting you in achieving your health promotion goals which may include: weight management (losing, gaining, maintaining), reducing blood pressure or cholesterol and preventing or treating diabetes. If sports nutrition is your focus, I will measure your resting metabolic rate, do a fitness assessment, and write an exercise prescription. My clients are ready to make incremental changes and learn how to sustain them. Recommendations are individualized and include what food choices, vitamin and mineral supplementation, and what types and amounts of physical activity will help you optimize your health.

I am passionate about helping people with chronic conditions by guiding them in creating healthy experiences that restore, build and nourish through insightful nutrition and herbal counseling and nutrition education.

I believe in a whole-person, individualized, and positive non-diet approach to health. I'm passionate about helping others develop sustainable healthy habits that will improve their quality of life. I practice from a weight neutral and Health At Every Size-informed perspective, so our work together is about health promoting behaviors vs intentional weight loss. I truly believe in Nourish's philosophy of care that does not focus on unsustainable, restrictive diets, but rather a weight-neutral approach centered on relationship with food.

Then she went on to complete her Dietetic Internship with Virginia Tech. Samantha prioritizes her patients health goals first and foremost.
