As a Registered Dietitian, and a Certified Diabetes Educator, for the past 25 years I have provided nutrition counselling to adults and children to make lifestyle changes to prevent complications from obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. I am very passionate about integrating Functional Nutrition and Alternative healing techniques like Reiki, Jin Shin Jyutsu, and yoga to prevent and reverse anxiety, depression, digestive and auto immune diseases. Hi, I’m Samantha Snyder Walters! I’m an eating disorder dietitian in Maryland. I see clients in Greenbelt and Columbia, Maryland and virtually across the USA. Growing up, I found myself surrounded by family and friends who struggled with disordered eating and poor body image.

My ideal client is someone who has wrestled with finding a healthy relationship with food. I love working with people who feel confused about what information is correct, who feel lost or unsure where to go with their nutrition journey, or who feel like they're stuck in a cycle. I also love working with young athletes whose aim is to perform their best and take care of their nutrition to fuel their play.

Ever since I was a child, I have been passionate about cooking. Much of my passion probably has to do with growing up with a mom who is a professional chef. Now, I enjoy teaching others to plan and prepare healthy, home-cooked meals. Planning meals for fertility, prenatal nutrition, women's health, hormones, diabetes, PCOS, kidney disease and heart health are my specialties.
