As a Master's degree level dietitian, I provide a wide range of topics during nutrition counseling that will be tailored to your needs and concerns. I have nine combined years of experience in child and adult nutrition.

I specialize in intuitive eating, gut & hormones. Your relationship with food does not have to be complicated. You may be exhausted from dieting most of your life and found that the constant focus on food has affected your life. You may think about food all day & are in a place where you want to get back to living your life vs. constantly focusing on food. Maybe you have recovered physically from an Eating Disorder but feel like there is more work to be done to break fear around foods. I have helped many people that have felt hopeless overcome fear around foods, stop binge eating, and find a healthy, joyful relationship with food.

At each session, you will be able to set some achievable goals, acquire nutrition education in support of those goals, and furthermore, you will be able to list out the steps necessary to achieve those goals. New goals will be added at follow up sessions, and overtime, more and more health focused behaviors will be developed. Focus areas will be based on needs and goals. For some, this may be reducing the risk of disease development, disease management, achieving or maintaining a healthy weight, or improving sports or activity performance.

Brittany has extensive experience working in the field of pediatric nutrition. She received her B.S. in dietetics, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Maryland. Brittany then went on to complete her dietetic internship from the National Institutes of Health, focusing on providing medical nutrition therapy to the pediatric population. She has served as a pediatric dietitian at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC for many years. Brittany is available to see pediatric patients in the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia area!
