By the time most of my clients reach out to me they have exhausted the traditional options and the information that Google provides. I want to help my clients treat and prevent with a balanced approach. My ideal client is someone that is looking for sustainable lifestyle changes in whatever area in their life that feels unbalanced. This can be managing unhealthy eating habits, GI issues including reflux, gastroparesis, fructose malabsorption, IBS, SIBO, auto-immune, picky eaters, or general health concerns like managing cholesterol and blood pressure.

I work one on one with individuals with a focus on those wanting to optimize their nutrition for healthy weight loss, lower their blood pressure and cholesterol, manage blood sugars, and help with many other nutrition related issues. Nutrition impacts so much in our health and I understand how frustrating it can be when doing it all on your own.

As an integrative functional dietitian nutritionist, my passion is to educate my clients about health and wellness in order to prevent nutrition-related diseases. I believe that preventive care is crucial for helping to achieve optimal health. Hi! I'm Shelby, a registered dietitian in the Kansas City area. I'm on a mission to help reduce the fear that many people feel around food. I help women struggling with PCOS, irregular periods, weight gain, low energy/fatigue, acne, fertility concerns, and mood issues increase energy, balance hormones, and feel confident in their bodies. My clients have a history of struggling to lose weight and trying allll the diets. They often first see success, but then stop making progress and become frustrated that their efforts aren't producing results. They have a history of irregular periods or PCOS and other providers have recommended birth control and weight loss but weight loss is difficult , and birth control is not the long term solution they want.

I help athletes eat like champions! Many athletes are BEHIND when it comes to their nutrition. My mission with Eat like a D1 Athlete is to help these athletes GET AHEAD so that whether they are in high school, college, or competing recreationally, they can know how to eat to perform at their highest levels.

Solveig believes in a holistic, non-diet approach to nutrition counseling, empowering clients to be the expert of their own body. She believes her job as a dietitian is to share evidence-based knowledge, provide nutrition education, and help reframe limiting beliefs while respecting client's autonomy regarding their health choices.
