As a current partner with TPG Pediatrics and Metropolitan Breastfeeding I am able to care for patient's dietary needs, picky eating, food sensitivities, lactation, and weight management providing both in-person and virtual appointments for all ages.

Welcome to a A Bowl Full of Nutrition. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in eating disorder treatment, medical nutrition therapy, weight management, and motivational interviewing. I graduated with a BS in Dietetics from Kansas State University and a MS in Dietetics from the University of Rhode Island. I have worked extensively with eating disorder patients in a treatment facility and have experience working with clients who struggle with weight management and diabetes. I also have trained with The Body Positive Institute and am skilled at working with clients on improving body image.

I don't give out standard meal plans or diets but instead focus on meeting nutrient needs - adding instead of taking away and helping you feel confident nourishing yourself and your family. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specialized in eating disorders and disordered eating. Knowing how difficult this world can be when it comes to a peaceful relationship with food and body, I want to create a safe place for those feeling imprisoned by their eating disorder or disordered eating.

I look forward to assisting you in achieving your health promotion goals which may include: weight management (losing, gaining, maintaining), reducing blood pressure or cholesterol and preventing or treating diabetes. If sports nutrition is your focus, I will measure your resting metabolic rate, do a fitness assessment, and write an exercise prescription. My clients are ready to make incremental changes and learn how to sustain them. Recommendations are individualized and include what food choices, vitamin and mineral supplementation, and what types and amounts of physical activity will help you optimize your health.

I have been practicing as a dietitian for 30 years and enjoy working with gestational moms and clients who need individualized counseling to treat their pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes and other health conditions. As a certified diabetes educator, I also work closely with dialysis patients in outpatient clinics. Medical Nutrition Therapy for diabetes, kidney disease and weight management is available at Smiley Meal LLC Monday through Saturdays at my office locations.

Miriam ensures that your primary care doctors, as well as your specialists are included in your care. Alongside your doctor(s), Miriam works with you to figure out what is going to make you the most successful in meeting your health goals.

She takes special interest in Prenatal Nutrition, Pediatric Nutrition and Diabetes care. She works closely with Diabetes patients (Pre-diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, Type I and Type 2 Diabetes) and offer individual counseling and personalized meal plan. She is truly passionate about this work and believes recovery from an eating disorder is possible for everyone. Amanda specializes in eating disorders, disordered eating, female athlete triad, chronic dieting, intuitive eating, mindful eating, hypothalamic amenorrhea, and mood & anxiety disorders.

Helena is a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist in the VA, DC, and MD area who is dedicated to helping her clients re-discover a healthy relationship with food and their body.Over the years she has found a deep connection working with co-morbid health challenges that many times accompany disordered eating such as gastrointestinal conditions, Crohn’s Disease, and Hormonal Imbalances. She has strong experience working with the Binge Eating Population, along with other disorder. In all her practices she leads with the Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size(HAES) principles as she guides her clients towards food freedom

Samantha is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who obtained her bachelors degree in Nutritional Sciences from The Pennsylvania State University. Then she went on to complete her Dietetic Internship with Virginia Tech. Samantha prioritizes her patients health goals first and foremost. She is especially passionate about helping clients with sustainable weight management (weight gain or weight loss). As well as helping clients navigate nutrition with GI issues, skin issues, and diabetes management.
